Alongside the cyclists at the Giro dell'Emilia
We are sponsors of the double pro cycling race scheduled for Saturday 30 September.
Once again this year we will celebrate our passion for cycling with our presence as a sponsor at the Giro dell'Emilia, the traditional race that sees the elite of international men's and women's cycling at the start.
The Giro dell'Emilia will start in the city of Carpi. In the initial phase of the race it will pass through the towns of Sorbara, Bomporto, Nonantola, and Castelfranco Emilia, crossing the Modenese countryside. The men's race will then pass through the centre of San Cesario sul Panaro, to approach the Modenese hills towards Savignano sul Panaro and then take the road of the same name along the valley floor at Marano sul Panaro. You will then face the first climb of the day at Samone (km 78.6), a climb just under 6 km long and with an average gradient of 6.7%. Once past the GPM, the road continues to climb until it reaches Zocca (km 86.0), thus arriving at Tolè. A little further on we find the Croce delle Pradole (km 112.1) where a fast descent begins, crossing Montepastore, which will take the race to Pilastrino; after which it will climb again to Gavignano/Monte Nonascoso (GPM at km 126.4). After having covered the loop until reaching Pilastrino once again, the route will stay on the provincial road that, passing along the wide avenues bordering the monumental cemetery of Certosa, Porta Saragozza and the Arco del Meloncello, will allow riders to quickly reach the western outskirts of Bologna.
And here we begin, after 165.2 km of racing, the first of the five ascents alongside the longest and, arguably, most beautiful portico in the world, the one leading over the Colle della Guardia to the Basilica of San Luca. Surely it will be in these last 36.8 km, now famous and well known to all, that the decisive action will unfold that will determine the champion, the one who will raise his arms to the sky after 204.1 km of racing and about 2,800 metres of total elevation gain.
We are waiting for you along the San Luca climb, which has become a true symbol in the world of cycling. And for everyone else there will be the opportunity to follow the race on TV with three hours of live coverage and images broadcast to over 200 countries around the world.
